Removed mine before wheat harvest this year first time without them got along fine. I took mine out couple years ago, done over a 1000 acres with 8820 and wont put them back in and we harvest 25+% more times then not. Anybody have any good theories for leaving them in or taking them out? Really the only reason I have left them in even this long is because they seem like they would be good rock protection. Generally never harvest corn over 22-23% unless it is falling over or something. Debating whether to buy new and put them in or just leave them out. A couple of the filler plates are cracked out at the bolt holes. I am putting new rasp bars and concave on the 6620.
